Anomalous was founded as a vehicle for sharing truly superlative coffees; more specifically, coffees that are pure reflections of cultivar, terroir and masterful production.  All coffees must undergo fermentation, and while I may on occasion present a natural or processed coffee, the predominance of my interest lies in finding exquisitely clean, expressive washed coffees - serving to shine a light on the place and manner in which they were cultivated.  

My approach to roasting is, simply stated, to stay out of the way - to take the coffees just up to the place where their full, innate value can be wholly realized.  This means light, maybe sometimes "ultralight," but never vegetal or savory.
